Facilities in the area

Interested where you can park your car? Or interested where you can leave you bicycle? Take a look at the map of the NDW21 area. More information about the facilities in the area you can find under the map.

Bicyle parking

Every building has it’s own bicycle parking. For the buildings Paso Doble and Samba you can find these outside behind the bulding. The other buildings have an indoor area on the central floor. Always park your bike in these designated areas and don’t put them loose outside. Visitors? They can use the designated bicycle racks in the public spaces outside.

Car parking

The areas has less parking spaces than apartments, to give more space to ‘green’areas and meetign spaces. The parking spaces are in the public space and they dont belong to a certain building or a certain individual. The map below shows where the parking spaces are located.

Shared gardens

With every building there will be a bit of public space which, in good consultation with the other tennants and the NDW21 team, you can design and use to your own liking. For instance a table tennis table, an allotment or a flower field. Together you will be responsible for the upkeep.

The office of neighbourhood connector Mirjam 

On NDW21 neighbourhood connector Mirjam is active. She has her own office on the ground floor of the Tango building. You can walk in here if you have questions. Mirjam has a set consultation hours on tuesday mornings between 11.00 and 12.00.

Central neighbourhood facility HEEM

On the entrance of the neighbourhood you  can find HEEM. HEEM is the meeting space on NDW21. the building of HEEM is a breeding ground where meeting and connecting are key. A place for green & health and art & culture.

Busstop Winkelsteeg is right in front of the neigbourhood

Bus 15 (Breng), going between Wijchen en Lent, stops regularly at the busstop. The schedule you can find on www.breng.nl. Bus 15 (towards Lent) also goes directly to the Campus. Which is quite handy for students.

The train station Nijmegen Goffert is within 1 kilometer

Via this station departs at least 4 times per hour a train towards Nijmegen centre. Twicce per hour there also departs a train towards  Den Bosch, Tilburg, Breda en Dordrecht. For more information you can look on www.ns.nl/reisplanner. Also differenst busses depart form the train station towards different directions within Nijmegen.
